Leander HQ in the 1960s

This picture was painted by Bill Williamson (ex-Chairman of the Supporters' Association) and presented to the Group on the occasion of the retirement of Peter ‘Bruno’ Burton as Group Scout Leader of Leander on Saturday 31st October 1987. This picture was first shown at the New Headquarters’ Topping Out Party 20th April 1985, when Bruno complained that he was not in the picture! He was immediately painted in, and can now be seen standing on his usual spot surveying the Leander stretch of the Thames.
